Happy Palm Sunday! We enjoyed the passion play at church again this year. Two of Allison's classmates were in it(one got her ear cut off). Scott also saw the 8th grade version at school on Friday at school.

He also spent Thursday evening singing with the choir at the annual 8th grade student vs teachers/priests basketball game.(He is in the middle of this photo behind Joe S in the brown shirt). They sing the National Anthem and then provide entertainment at half time. Scott wanted to leave after that, but surprisingly the game was so good, I didn't want to leave! And the students beat the teachers for a win by a few points(a first in a long time).

Allison meanwhile was at a Field Hockey camp which runs every Thursday night for 6 weeks. We thought it might be a good idea if she picked up some field skills besides her goalie position. She also spent an evening last week at a Girl SCout volunteer meeting preparing for her summer position at GS day camp. This will be the second summer she volunteers at the archery site. She really enjoys it.

Scott had a Boy Scout meeting on Tuesday and then spent Saturday morning cleaning up the church yard where his scout troop meets. They helped put down mulch around the flower beds too. The church was getting ready for the upcoming Nursery SChool fair. Scott was one of only a few that showed up since it was raining.

Allison was attending an all day orientation program for her Skate Guard position. This was a program that used to run a few hours and they stretched it out to a whole day! Doesn't matter, Allison was paid for her time. She then worked Palm Sunday.

I spent any and all of my free time packing for our trip. And of course the kids outgrew all of their summer clothes so I was busy trying to locate shorts and short sleeve shirts. I also had to drop off our house key to our neighbor so she could pet sit the cat and gerbil.

I also took some time out to visit the Goddard NASA space center for an open house with Scott. They only have the visitor center available once a month, and I took SCott to get some ideas for an upcoming poster presentation he had on the planets. We were looking for some photos or ideas for his poster from the gift store.

We would have left for Florida already, but we were using Tom's frequent airline miles for free tickets and that can be tricky trying to find available flights. We ended up scheduling our flight out on Monday, returning the following Tuesday. The kids had to miss one day of school on the return flight.

A Happy Birthday goes out to Sarah Bozyk who hit #19 on the 13th of April! Happy Birthday Sarah! Wow-all those April Birthdays!
